As a previous singer for The Ritz Hotel, London, Eleanor really is one of the most experienced and captivating singers you could ever hope to find.
“I have a passion for performing live. Playing with melody lines and moulding a song in my own style gives me a buzz that keeps things exciting. It’s fresh - not only for me me but also hopefully for the audience.” It’s this desire to keep things fresh that has inspired Eleanor to channel her creativity into ‘FromTheTop Choirs’. The aim of these two new choirs is to bring families and friends together to ultimately have fun through singing! From pop songs to classic hits straight from the West End… hopefully there is a little something for everyone.
Eleanor has been singing since she was a toddler and started learning the piano at the age of 5. By 13 she had passed her Grade 8 with distinction and performed in the Royal Albert Hall as part of a trio for The School Proms. Before completing her A-Levels she had achieved her Performance Diploma from Trinity College of London. She now teaches piano in Rochester and its neighbouring towns, passing on her knowledge to the younger generation who also want to play music. She has a great passion for teaching and has now been doing so for almost ten years.
As much as she adores playing, singing is her first love and Eleanor has spent many years crafting her own sound and style. From the age of 13 she was travelling back and forth in Europe promoting a Philippine Islands performing group. She was fortunate enough to sing at Wembley Arena at the age of 16 as a solo support act for an international artist. When she was 20 she had a record deal in Germany as part of a girl band, although sadly things came to a halt after the release of several singles. However, undeterred and more focused than ever, she became part of another girl group in the UK and was lucky enough to write with some of the most renowned song writers in the world - Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera, Pink), Carl Falk (One Direction), Jess Cates (Backstreet Boys), to name a few. She has worked twice with Randy Jackson in LA and has had substantial studio time writing and recording her own songs, as well as many others.
Now a mother, Eleanor continues to sing professionally in several function bands, as well as her own duo and as a soloist, in and around London. She wants to fuse together her love of singing, her ability to play piano, and her enthusiasm for teaching, into these choirs to help others nurture and bring out their voice.
As well as singing and playing the piano, Eleanor can play the violin and guitar. She also attended Italia Conti, Barbican, where she studied tap, ballet and modern dance.
